Rain forecast of 4th October – heavy rain & thunderstorm alarm

The cyclonic circulation near Bangladesh is predicted to intensify and become a low-pressure system by Friday. Northeastern India and surrounding regions are expected to get widespread rainfall during the next three days, with heavy showers in certain locations. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon withdrew on Wednesday, covering Delhi and the NCR, and is expected to move further southeast by the weekend, leaving the majority of Central India dry.

In contrast, damp conditions will prevail in Southern India, while Western Ladakh is likely to have increasing snowfall beginning Saturday and peaking Monday. Maximum temperatures in Delhi and the NCR are expected to be close to normal for the next five days.

Heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast in Northeastern India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Scattered rain with thunderstorms is predicted to occur in Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa.
