Due to which there is a problem in the movement of trains in that branch. The train departing from Sealdah got stuck till Chandpara. Since then, trains are running late on that branch.
At the same time, Bangaon Local is running till Chandpara by shortening the journey. According to railway sources, the incident occurred due to a broken signaling panel near Bangaon station. Incessant rain since morning, on top of which train services were disrupted. As time went on, the stations became crowded with passengers. Train movement on the Bangaon-Ranaghat branch has also been affected.
