Polycab India Limited (PIL), a leading manufacturer of electrical cables and wires, has become the first company in India to receive the prestigious GreenPro Certification from the Confederation of Indian Industry – Indian Green Building Council (CII-IGBC) for its flagship product, Polycab Green Wire+, in the house-wires category. The certification recognizes the company’s commitment to sustainability, validating the environmental performance of Polycab Green Wire+ across its lifecycle—from raw material sourcing and manufacturing to usage and disposal. The wires, made of 99.97% pure copper, are lead-free, flame-resistant, and designed to withstand temperatures up to 90°C, ensuring superior safety and durability. They are also REACH and RoHS compliant and free from over 250 hazardous substances, making them ideal for homes and commercial projects.
