Siliguri, June 24: In a significant operation, Pradhan Nagar police station successfully foiled a robbery attempt and arrested three persons. The suspects have been identified as Atiqur Rahman, Mohammad Suleman Haq and Raju Roy and all of them are residents of Champasari area.
According to reports, the police received information around 1 am on Sunday night, which revealed that a group of miscreants had gathered near Darjeeling turn.
On receiving this information, Pradhan Nagar Police took immediate action and launched an operation and caught the robbery plan. During the operation, three suspects were arrested and sharp weapons were recovered from their possession.
The arrested people were presented in Siliguri court on Monday. Police are continuing to investigate the case to ascertain more information about the planned robbery and any additional accomplices.
