On May 26, 2017 PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS. 84% of the construction work is completed of the institute, Assam Chief Minister Updated.
The services of the outpatient department in AIIMS have already started since October last year.
Assam Chief Minister said, PM Modi is to visit Assam on April 14 and witness the state government’s effort to script Guinness World Record with 10,000 bihu dancers. He also stated that the government is considering possibilities to inaugurate AIIMS on the same day.
“PM Narendra Modi may inaugurate AIIMS Guwahati Campus on April 14,” Assam CM said.
