India denounces the breach of the brotherly State of Qatar’s sovereignty. We favor avoiding escalation and resolving conflicts through communication and diplomacy. After the phone call, PM Modi wrote on X, “India stands firmly in support of peace and stability in the region and against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.” The discussion was held following the Israeli strikes in Doha.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that the PM valued Qatar’s contribution to regional peace and stability, particularly its efforts to mediate a ceasefire and the release of all hostages in Gaza. Sheikh Tamim expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for expressing support for the State of Qatar and its citizens. The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing advancements in the India-Qatar Strategic Partnership. They decided to be in close communication,” the PMO said in a statement.
India is deeply concerned about the Israeli strikes in Doha and urges restraint and diplomacy to protect peace and security in the region. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani visited India in February, reminiscing about historic trade links and bilateral relations. They expressed happiness at the signing of the ‘Agreement on the Establishment of Bilateral Strategic Partnership’ between the two countries.
