The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a roadshow in the city today to announce EXCON 2023. The event witnessed the participation of industry leaders, senior government officials, and stakeholders from the infrastructure and construction equipment sector.
EXCON, South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition, is set to take place from 12-16 December 2023 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru. The event aims to propel India to become the 2nd largest and fastest-growing construction equipment market globally by 2030. The event, which will attract over 1200 exhibitors from India and abroad, will cover over 30 lakh sq. ft of display area and attract over 80,000 business visitors. The event is hosted by the Government of Karnataka.
Ms Sucharita Basu, Chairperson, CII West Bengal State Council & Managing Partner, AQUILAW emphasized the need for significant infrastructure expansion in Kolkata, a densely populated city with a permanent population exceeding five million. She said, “Our objective is not only to showcase cutting-edge technologies but also to champion cost-effective solutions that will propel our city and its inhabitants to even greater heights.”
