According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam set a record on Thursday by having 11,304 dancers and drummers perform the “Bihu” dance and play the “dhol” simultaneously at one location. According to him, this is the folk dance genre’s largest performance. The artists performed their show and achieved the world record for “Bihu” dance and “dhol” in front of an adjudicator from the Guinness World Records office in London. “With 11,304 dancers and drummers, we broke the world records for both the Bihu dance and the Bihu dhols.
