One person has been arrested who found connected with the theft of eight lakhs rupees from a diagnostic centre located in Gurung Basti, Siliguri. The accused identified as Birendra Kumar Dorji who is a resident of Sikkim. According to the reports on November 3 cash worth of eight lakhs rupees was stolen from the cash box of a diagnostic centre located in Gurung Basti. After this incident, the management of the Diagnostic Center filed a written complaint at the Pradhan Nagar police station. Based on this complaint police started an investigation and found much information regarding the theft through CCTV footage. After this police arrested the accused from the Tindharia area of Kurseong and also recovered two lakh and thirty thousand rupees.
Actually investigation is going on and police is working very seriously on this so that the case is solved. This type of incident is very shameful as people are doing this type of crime and for this reason people should become serious and aware so that in future this type of crime doesn’t happen.
