Recently the NJP police arrested an individual on charges of theft and recovered a stolen motorcycle. The accused has been identified as Dipankar Bhakta. According to reports, the incident took place in Radhakrishna Temple area at Bhalobasha More under the jurisdiction of the NJP police station on April 15. Lakshman Majhi had parked his motorcycle along the roadside and left for work momentarily. Upon his return, he actually found out that the vehicle went missing. Despite several efforts, the vehicle could not be located.
Subsequently, Lakshman Majhi lodged a complaint with the NJP police station on Tuesday. Upon receiving the complaint of theft, the police actually arrested the accused Dipankar Bhakta and recovered the stolen vehicle. Police sources revealed that the accused stole the two-wheeler with the intentions to sell it. In fact the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lakshman Majhi expressed his contentment over the recovery of his stolen vehicle.
