The National Skill Development Corporation International (NSDC International) and edtech giant PhysicsWallah (PW) have launched a new initiative, Bharat Innovation Global (BIG), aimed at bridging the gap between education and industry demands. BIG focuses on creating flexible, technology-driven learning pathways that align education with the needs of the workforce, helping students and professionals gain industry-relevant skills.
BIG’s target audience spans from school students in classes 11 and 12 to university students, working professionals, and government sector employees. By offering training in emerging skills and upskilling programs, BIG aims to prepare individuals for modern career opportunities and enhance public service delivery. The initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and UGC guidelines for online courses.
Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC International, emphasized, “BIG will empower millions of learners with essential skills for the future job market.” Alakh Pandey, Founder & CEO of PW, echoed the need for adaptable education to foster growth at all stages of a learner’s life. In Siliguri, BIG’s digital approach is expected to open up new avenues for students and professionals in the region, offering scalable and accessible learning opportunities. This initiative will enable learners to tap into industry-relevant content, equipping them with skills to thrive in a competitive job market.
