NEWME, one of India’s fastest-growing fashion-tech brands catering to Gen Z women, today launched its first store in Siliguri, marking the brand’s entry into Northeast India. The new outlet, featuring over 1,000 fresh designs, aims to offer a trend-first, immersive shopping experience to a region that has shown strong online demand for the brand since its 2022 inception.
Strategically located in Siliguri, the “gateway to the Northeast,” the store is expected to serve customers from West Bengal, Sikkim, and the seven Northeastern states. Leveraging its technology-driven, inventory-light model, NEWME drops over 500 new designs weekly, enabling agile responses to global fashion trends while offering affordable, expressive choices for India’s Gen Z consumers.
In Siliguri, the city has emerged as a key retail hub for young, fashion-conscious buyers. The growing preference for tech-enabled, trend-led shopping experiences has created a favorable environment for brands like NEWME to establish offline presence, complementing their online success and tapping into the region’s expanding consumer base. Currently operating 14 stores nationwide, NEWME plans to open additional outlets by the end of this financial year.
