In a festive first, Nestlé Professional has teamed up with Kolkata’s iconic sweet makers Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick to reimagine Bengali classics with a global twist. The collaboration introduces three new creations—Chocolate Rosogolla, Chocolate Jolbhara, and Crispy Choco Sandesh—crafted with Nestlé’s KitKat® Spread. Announcing the launch, Saurabh Makhija, Head of Nestlé Professional, said, “Durga Puja is the perfect occasion to bring these two worlds together. This innovation reiterates our commitment to fostering culinary creativity and enhancing consumer experience.”
Sudip Mullick, proprietor of the legendary sweet shop, described the initiative as a “game-changer in the Bengali sweets segment,” noting that blending the cherished KitKat flavor with Bengali mithai brings freshness and innovation to the festive table. The special sweets will be available across all 18 outlets of the chain in Kolkata during Durga Puja.
Beyond Kolkata, sweet lovers in Siliguri are also keeping an eye on the innovation. Retailers in the Siliguri market expect rising demand during the festive season, as many families traditionally travel to Kolkata or source premium sweets from the city. This fusion offering is seen as an attraction that could boost cross-market sales. With Durga Puja around the corner, the partnership promises to add a new layer of sweetness to Bengal’s festive spirit.
