National Center for Good Governance (NCGG), In partnership with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) completed its flagship Capacity Building Program (CBP) for the 58th batch of Bangladesh Civil Servants. In it 45 officers participated.The training program focused on designing and executing effective public policies and programs to improve the quality of life of citizens.
In his concluding address, Bharat Lal, Director General of NCGG urged the officers to be responsive to the needs of the people and stressed on the vital importance of redressal of public grievances in a time-bound manner. He appreciated the developmental partnership between the two countries. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ and urged the civil servants to bridge the gap between the citizens and the government.
NCGG has trained approximately 2,055 civil servants from Bangladesh, in collaboration with the MEA and the Indian Mission in Dhaka. In partnership with MEA, NCGG has taken up the responsibility of building the capacity of civil servants from developing countries. So far it has provided training to civil servants from 15 countries. In this event, NCGG shared various initiatives taken in the country including changing paradigm of governance, rejuvenation of rivers with special reference to Ganga, leveraging digital technology, changing India’s rural landscape and passport services.
