Re-emphasizing the need to build a culture of safe riding habits in India, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) took forward its National Road Safety Awareness Campaignin Bongaigaon, Assam.Road Safety is a global priority for Honda a three-day camp held at PKM English Medium School, Bongaigaon Polytechnic and Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyalaya in Bongaigaon, from 26th to 28th April 2023. HMSI’s road safety instructors used age-appropriate learning programs to spread awareness of safe riding practices to 3,000 school& college students& staff. The camp was successful.
HMSI’s National Road Safety Awareness program provided a scientifically designed learning module with theory sessions on road signs, driver duties, riding gear, posture and safe riding etiquettes. Students aged 5-10 learned about the do’s and don’ts while commuting in a school bus and cycling, while 11-12 learned how to ride their bicycle safely.
Staff and college students honed their riding skills through theoretical and practical training on two-wheelers. Speaking on HMSI’s commitment towards building a collision-free India, Mr. Vinay Dhingra – Senior Director, HR, Admin, IT & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “As a part of our National Road Safety Campaign, we aim to educate both children and adults to be responsible road users and be road safety ambassadors in their city.”
