The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, presided over a high-level meeting on Wednesday and gave officials instructions to improve genome sequencing while putting a focus on COVID-appropriate behavior amid a recent uptick in COVID-19 and influenza cases in the nation. According to information updated on Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry, there have been 1,134 new coronavirus cases reported in India, bringing the total number of active cases up to 7,026, the death rise to 5,30,813. The information updated at 8 am showed that one death had been reconciled by Kerala while one death had been recorded in each of Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. In order to examine the COVID-19 and influenza situation in the nation in terms of infrastructure and logistical readiness for health care, the state of the vaccine campaign, and other factors, Modi served as the meeting’s chair.
