Narayan Seva Sansthan, a global leader in humanitarian services, will organize a free Narayan Limb and Calipers Fitting Camp in Siliguri on January 12. The camp, catering to 160 pre-selected differently-abled individuals from the Eastern Himalayan region and West Bengal, will take place at Shivam Palace, Bardhaman Road, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This initiative follows a limb measurement camp held in September, where over 300 individuals were assessed. Of these, 160 people, who lost limbs due to accidents or mishaps, were selected for German technology-based artificial limbs. Speaking at a press conference, Media and PR Director Bhagwan Prasad Gaur highlighted the organization’s 40-year journey of empowering Divyangs and integrating them into the mainstream.
Siliguri market stakeholders, including local businesses and voluntary organizations, have extended strong support for the camp. The collaborative spirit among entities like Uttar Bang Marwari Seva Trust and Shri Ram Seva Parivar showcases the market’s commitment to social causes. This involvement reflects Siliguri’s role as a key player in driving regional development and community welfare. Narayan Seva Sansthan, operating since 1985, has provided over 36,000 artificial limbs globally. Its efforts in Siliguri are poised to uplift the lives of the differently-abled, furthering its mission of creating a more inclusive society.
