Adani Group’s Mundra port in Gujarat has completed 25 years of operations, highlighting its growth and transformation into one of the world’s largest ports. Since the berthing of the inaugural vessel, MT Alpha, on 7 October 1998, the port has witnessed growth in terms of revenue and technology on the world stage.
Gautam Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said, “Mundra, to me, is more than just a port. It’s a beach of potential for the entire Adani Group. Twenty-five years ago, when we started, we had dreams. A beacon that will represent India’s progress. The heartbeat of this commitment resonates not only in Mundra but across the country and echoes the trust of every stakeholder who believes in embarking on this journey with us. “
Adani added that Mundra stands as evidence of the wonders that can emerge when foresight, perseverance and a united community come together. With our employees and partners, we didn’t just build a port; We have created a symbol of global excellence, transformed an entire region and created new blueprints. “Our confidence has never been higher and Mundra will continue to trail-blaze by setting benchmarks on canvases around the world,” he said.
