Mundra Port, Adani Ports’ flagship, berths 399 meters vessel

Mundra Port, the flagship port of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), the largest integrated transport utility in India and a part of the diversified Adani Group has achieved a significant accomplishment by berthing the 399 meters long and 54 meters wide vessel, MV MSC Hamburg. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone in Mundra, Gujarat, successfully berthing the largest container ship, MV MSC Hamburg, in July 2023. The 2015-built ship, built in 2015, was anchored at the port.

MSC and Adani International Container Terminal completed a decade-long joint venture in Geneva, marking a historic event. APSEZ has successfully berthing the largest container ship ever, MV MSC Hamburg, at Mundra Ports.

The Mundra Marine Team ensured accurate clearance predictions by considering vessel conditions and live weather conditions. In 2021, APSEZ berthed the 13,892 TEU APL Raffles, the largest container vessel at any Indian port. The Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone recorded the largest port cargo volume with 339 MMT in FY23. APSEZ aims to optimize port services and facilities for India’s development, with Mundra Port handling 40 vessel movements in just 24 hours.
