Monsoon to hit Assam; landslide prone area alerted

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced landslide prone area of Dima Hasao district schools will remain close for 5 five days starting from June 13.

The IMD took the discussion due to heavy rainfall in the area and there is also possibility of landslide in the prone areas of the state.

Also District Administration has issued a high alert that heavy rainfall to occur in the parts of Dima Hasao for next 10 days. People of the district are asked not to go in any risky areas as natural disaster may take place due to heavy rainfall.

Other than Dima Hasao, many districts of the state, Assam are already effected like Udalguri District, Sonitpur District, Cachar District due to flood. The Authorities of the state has already stocked food and clothes for the effected people due to heavy rainfall.
