Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), a part of the Mahindra Group, is taking a meaningful step to empower the daughters of truck drivers on Drivers’ Day. Through the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, they are offering scholarships to support these girls in pursuing higher education. This initiative reflects Mahindra’s commitment to the truck driver community, starting with the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan in 2014, and now extending to provide educational opportunities.
As a pioneer among commercial vehicle manufacturers, Mahindra is awarding scholarships of Rs. 10,000 each, accompanied by certificates recognizing the recipients’ achievements. This effort has already benefited 8928 young girls. Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Business Head – Commercial Vehicles, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, expressed enthusiasm about this program, emphasizing its role in enabling truck drivers’ daughters to dream big and reach their career goals.
In February-March 2024, Mahindra plans to felicitate 1100 selected girls with scholarships through direct bank transfers and recognition certificates, further demonstrating their commitment to empowering the daughters of truck drivers and transforming lives through education.
