Late Vikram Kirloskar, a former vice chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), was posthumously honored at the 18th India Business Leader Awards, which were held on May 11, 2023, at the Jio Centre in BKC, Mumbai. The award was awarded by Shri. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing, and Urban Affairs, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to modernizing India’s automobile industry.
Vikram Kirloskar’s visionary leadership and commitment to excellence helped TKM become a key player in the Indian automotive market, advocating for “Make in India” and “Skill India” missions. He was a promoter of Sustainable Development and focused on creating a better world. He also played a key role at the National Council for Electric Mobility in addition to being the President of the Automotive Research Association of India.
