Kyunki & Kahaani Cross Paths Again: A Nostalgic Reunion of Two TV Legends

Famous for their roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, respectively, Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar have filmed a special episode of the current revival series of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Along with a selfie she snapped on the set of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Smriti Irani shared a special post on social media for Sakshi Tanwar.

Smriti Irani wrote: “I can describe Sakshi with a lot of adjectives, like grace, grit, and gorgeousness, but I can’t explain how it felt to accept her memory and reality after 2.5 decades of friendship. Since we were pursuing greatness rather than history, we were unaware of the commotion that Tulsi and Parvati caused.

What do you say to her, since she is the type of person who can make even silences speak? “To say she is a caring mother, a devoted daughter, or an actual human being is to reduce her to just flattering terms, to bind her to mere words. Smriti Irani said, “You are loved, Sakshi, and I hope you know you are home, hope and all heart.”

Amar Upadhyay has returned as Mihir, and Smriti Irani, an actor who is now a politician, has resumed her role as Tulsi. Mihir and Tulsi were regarded as one of the most recognizable on-screen couples in television back in the 2000s.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 surpassed Anupamaa, which had long led the Hindi GEC fiction category, with a TRP of 2.3 in its first week, according to data from the Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC).

One of the longest-running series of its era, the first season ran for eight years, from June 2000 to November 2008. Fans will remember how, in response to strong public demand, Amar Upadhyay’s character Mihir was revived following his departure.

Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Shakti Anand, Ritu Seth, Ketaki Dave, and Komolika Guha Thakurta are among the many members of the original cast who have returned for Season 2. A new generation of actors has also been exposed by the show, including Ankit Bhatia, Prachi Singh, Tanisha Mehta, Aman Gandhi, Shagun Sharma, and Rohit Suchanti.

After its October 16, 2000, launch, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii ran for eight years. Sakshi Tanwar and Kiran Karmarkar appeared in the Ekta Kapoor-created series.

The storyline focused on the lives of Parvati and Om Agarwal, who live in a Marwadi household and are portrayed as the ideal son and daughter-in-law, respectively. After that, the story of Vishwanath Agarwal and his kids is told.

Sakshi Tanwar, who will reprise her role as Parvati from Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii for a special episode in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, was pictured by Smriti Irani. To commemorate the event, Smriti Irani wrote a poignant message.
