Kenvue has announced a dual-brand hydration strategy in India, introducing ORSL and eRZL to address both diarrheal dehydration and everyday hydration needs, strengthening its presence in the fast-growing electrolyte drinks segment. The “Double Power for Complete Hydration” approach positions ORSL as the company’s WHO-formula-based oral rehydration salts portfolio, available in ready-to-drink and powder formats, while eRZL launched effective January 2026 will cater to daily hydration and recovery from fatigue and exhaustion.
The newly improved eRZL formulation delivers faster hydration with 1.4X more electrolytes and eight times less sugar compared to the earlier composition. The drink combines sodium, potassium, chloride, vitamin C, and real fruit juice to support hydration during heat exhaustion, muscle cramps, or tiredness.
Manish Anandani, Managing Director-India, Kenvue, said the strategy reflects the company’s commitment to expanding science-backed hydration solutions as India’s electrolyte drink category grows rapidly. Prashant Shinde, Business Unit Head – Self Care, added that increasing consumer preference for low-sugar wellness products is driving demand for advanced hydration options. Dr. Nikhil Bangale, Head of Medical & Safety Sciences, emphasized the need to raise awareness around both illness-related and everyday dehydration.
