Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set for a major clash at the box office on November 1, the day when Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again will also release.
When Kartik Aaryan returned to cinemas post the pandemic with his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the horror comedy was one of the first films to do an encouraging business of over Rs 185 crore at the box office after the lockdown was eased. From 2022 to this year, a lot has changed on the Hindi box office front, with Shah Rukh Khan rewriting records and two films surprising the trade – Stree 2 and Animal. Now all eyes are on Kartik Aaryan again as he prepares for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, but the actor told he is not taking any “pressure”.
The Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer has become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, while Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal entered the Rs 500 crore club last year. Both the films, which did not star Khan, rocked the box office and gave people a hint that it is possible to earn such big numbers even without the presence of the industry’s long-standing superstars.
Karthik told that the box office and the release date of the film are not the same for everyone. Karthik said that he never got success easily in his journey.
“In my journey, I never got anything by hand. I had to create the plate myself; nobody came to me with the plate. When I started, I didn’t get any Rs 500 crore director, I worked with all new directors. So, I haven’t been that lucky, but I know where my margins can increase. If I am still delivering those numbers, I am happy with that.”
He said, “I am not comparing; I am not complaining. I am in a good space because when I came to the city, nobody knew me and now, I am recognised in every corner of the country. That is something to be grateful for.”
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhaulayya 3 also stars Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. The film will release on November 1 and will clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office.
