The Opposition, according to Union minister Piyush Goyal, is deliberately holding up Parliament with its “irresponsible” remarks and “unfounded” claims in an effort to mislead the nation at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership is being recognised internationally.
Pralhad Joshi, a minister for parliamentary affairs, joined Goyal in accusing the opposition of continually insulting Jagdeep Dhankhar, the chairman of the Rajya Sabha, by refusing to even meet with him.
He said that some parties, including the Congress, did not show up to the meeting he called even on Tuesday. Notwithstanding the fact that they attended the meeting that Speaker Om Birla called.
