Eight people are now confirmed dead after two more migrants, including an Indian woman, drowned in a river when two families of Indian and Romanian heritage were attempting to enter the US illegally from Canada.
The remains were discovered on Friday in a marsh by a riverbank close to Akwesasne, a town that is shared by the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and New York. A Canadian citizen of Romanian ancestry, was among the two other bodies that were discovered. The second included a female Indian national.
