A Made in India whiskey has been selected as the best whiskey brand in the world by Whiskeys of the World.
Indri Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023 received the ‘Double Gold Best in Show’ award at one of the world’s largest whisky-tasting competitions, where more than 100 varieties of whiskey from around the world compete each year.
The Whiskey of the World Awards takes place in rigorous blind tastings across various categories. A panel of some of the top tastemakers and influencers in the Alco-Bev industry announces one whiskey as the best whiskey in each class.
Indian peated-class whiskey beat hundreds of international brands including American single malts, Scotch whiskies, Bourbons, Canadian whiskies, Australian single malts and British single malts.
“Indri has earned a place among the best whiskeys around the world. Indri received the Best in Show, Double Gold Award at the prestigious Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023 World Whiskeys Awards. This win is a testament to the quality and growing popularity of Indian single malts around the world,” Indri, maker of Indian whiskies, said in a blog post.
Indri’s single Malt Trini has previously won the Tokyo Whiskey and Spirits Competition 2023, the Fifty Best World Whiskeys 2022 Award, the International Whiskey Competition in Las Vegas, and was featured in the Whiskey Advocate Top 20 Whiskeys of the World list.
