India–Russia Business Dialogue boosts economic cooperation in Moscow

Over 1,250 people attended the XVI Russia-India Business Dialogue in Moscow, which noted that the advancement of Russia-India cooperation and the execution of cooperative business initiatives will continue at significant international forums, such as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is set for June 3–6. The Moscow government, the Business Council for Cooperation with India, the Indian Business Alliance, and the Roscongress Foundation organized the Dialogue. The key directions of Russia-India cooperation were considered during the plenary session, including the resolution of trade concerns and the identification of new chances to balance bilateral trade.

The expansion of industrial collaboration and import substitution, partnership in energy, technology, and innovation, and the issue of guaranteeing logistics and financial resilience were also discussed. Additionally, the conference addressed the execution of collaborative initiatives in the fields of industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and the digital economy. Sergey Cheremin, a Moscow government minister and head of the city’s Department for External Economic and International Relations, emphasized the practical focus of Russia-India collaboration as well as the consistent expansion of business activity. Sammy Kotwani, President of the Indian Business Alliance (IBA), emphasized the pragmatic aspect of Indian businesses’ desire to collaborate with Russia.
