Recently the 25th day of the Bengali month of Baisakh was marked by a grand celebration honoring the birth anniversary of renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore in Naxalbari. Reportedly, on Wednesday morning, a program was actually organized by Naxalbari Sarada Vidyamandir, featuring IPS Ashish Kumar, the acting in-charge of Naxalbari police station, who laid a floral tribute at the statue of ‘Kaviguru’ within the police station premises. In fact the event witnessed the active participation of school teachers and esteemed social figures.
After this a vibrant procession was carried out from the police station which circumambulated various areas. IPS Ashish Kumar emphasized the enduring importance of Kaviguru’s ideals, advocating for a society guided by principles of peace, love, and integrity. This is actually very good thing as people are paying respect to Rabindranath Tagore and getting inspiration from him to get a good life. In fact we should encourage people specially the young generation to celebrate Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary to make our society good.
