Fulbari, 22nd December: Recently the Optopic Siliguri, an organization concerned with the environment, organized an awareness camp at the Mahananda Barrage area for the protection of migratory birds. During the camp, residents and tourists were made aware of migratory birds. The program witnessed the presence of Actor Saaswata Chatterjee, along with other officials of the organization. In this regard, Saswata Chatterjee stated that people should be more aware and concerned regarding environmental protection. Actually the responsibility cannot be imposed by Optopic and the police administration. On behalf of the organization, Deepjyoti Chakraborty stated every year various awareness campaigns are being initiated to save the migratory birds arriving at Mahananda Barrage. With it he added that a similar program has been organized even this year. Furthermore, he stated the number of migratory birds flying to Fulbari’s Mahananda Barrage has significantly increased as compared to the previous year.
Today it becomes a need to care animals as they do many things for human. We should respect nature and grow with it. Actually human being is becoming more selfish and thinks only about them. We need to change this mentality and think about everyone so that we can care the nature. Migratory birds have many importance and we should care them so that in future we live better life.
