Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reinforced its commitment to road safety through an impactful awareness campaign at Army Public School, Bengdubi, West Bengal. The initiative engaged 2400 students and staff, combining interactive sessions, danger prediction training (Kiken Yosoku Training), virtual simulations, quizzes, and helmet awareness activities.
The program aimed to create responsible road users from a young age, fostering a safety-first mindset aligned with Honda’s global vision of zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050. Practical modules and scientifically designed lessons offered immersive learning on road signs, riding etiquette, and real-life hazard response. Existing riders also honed their skills through controlled riding exercises.
For Bengdubi , where traffic congestion and erratic driving habits pose frequent risks, such initiatives bring fresh hope. Local vendors and daily commuters welcomed the effort, expecting long-term behavioral shifts among young riders to improve overall safety in the area. HMSI’s pan-India strategy includes 10 adopted Traffic Training Parks, 6 Safety Driving Education Centers, and its new digital platform, E-Gurukul, offering multilingual modules for students aged 5–18. With over 97 lakh Indians already covered, HMSI’s road safety drive continues to scale with a sharp focus on education, innovation, and community engagement.
