Historic Triumph: India women win Kabaddi World Cup

The Indian women’s kabaddi team defeated Chinese Taipei 35–28 in the final to win the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup in Dhaka. India has won the World Cup twice in a row, demonstrating their prowess in the game. “The women’s team has delivered a performance the whole nation can be proud of,” said Manpreet Singh, head coach of the Haryana Steelers. “Their teamwork and belief were exceptional. I know how difficult it is to get to this level because I was an Indian player once. Many congrats to the staff and players.”

India performed admirably the entire competition. They advanced to the semifinals, where they defeated Iran 33–21 to advance to the championship, after winning every group match. Chinese Taipei defeated hosts Bangladesh 25–18 in the semifinal, continuing their winning streak in their group.
