On Sunday, police claimed to have raided a hideaway in the Hangnikoot neighbourhood of North Kashmir’s Handwara and collected weapons and ammunition.
According to a handout, Handwara Police searched Shalnar, Hangnikoot, on March 11, 2023, according to the police, who were quoted by GNS.
An old cache of arms and ammunition was found during the search in the area. It contained an AK-47 rifle with two magazines and 75 bullets, as well as 10 grenades, 26 UBGL grenades, 8 UBGL boosters, 2 flamethrowers, 5 rocket shells and 3 rocket boosters.
Based on this, FIR No. 19/2023 has reportedly been filed at Police Station Vilgam, according to a police spokesman.
