Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited observed Hypertension Awareness Month in May by collaborating with 1000 healthcare experts from over 210 hospitals and clinics in 143 locations throughout the country and organising 214 public awareness rallies and screening camps to raise public awareness about hypertension.
The rallies consisted of informative sessions delivered by HCPs who gave in-depth information on the symptoms, and preventative strategies related to hypertension. Following that, blood pressure screening camps were established to allow the general population to test their blood pressure levels. Glenmark reached out to 10 million individuals as a consequence of this effort, thereby boosting illness awareness.
Hypertension is a leading cause of death in India..
