Siliguri, May 16: In a horrific incident, a massive fire broke out at a local biryani restaurant in Haider Para area of Siliguri after 2 LPG cylinders exploded.
This incident caused widespread panic among the local residents. According to reports, the fire that broke out after the blast has caused a lot of damage to the surrounding area. Local residents immediately informed the fire department and Bhakti Nagar police station officials about the incident.
Subsequently, immediately after receiving the information, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Fire fighters faced a lot of challenges but they managed to control the fire.
It is noteworthy that the owner closed the shop late at night and left the fridge open throughout the night. Preliminary investigation by the fire department revealed that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the refrigerator.
