FUJIFILM India has expanded its presence in eastern India by installing the APERTO Lucent Open MRI system at Mother Care Center, reinforcing Siliguri’s role as a growing healthcare hub. The new MRI system combines advanced imaging technology with a patient-centric design, offering high-quality scans with reduced scan time. It supports diagnosis across neurology, orthopaedics, cardiology and oncology.
Company officials said the installation is part of FUJIFILM India’s strategy to improve diagnostic access in emerging cities. Siliguri serves patients from North Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and the North-East.
Mr Shunsuke Honda of FUJIFILM India said the company aims to bring world-class imaging closer to communities that earlier depended on metro cities for specialised diagnostics.
Healthcare experts said improved diagnostic facilities help speed up treatment decisions and reduce the burden on patients travelling long distances.
