Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues to perform well at the box office, nearing Rs 600 crore in domestic collections but falling short by Rs 1 crore due to a slowdown in its fourth week. On Wednesday, the film earned Rs 2.50 crore, resulting in total domestic earnings of Rs 599.15 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.
Rishab Shetty’s film grossed Rs 337.4 crore in its first week, Rs 147.85 crore in the second week, and Rs 78.85 crore in the third week. In the fourth week, it experienced a weekend surge in collections but a significant 68% drop during weekdays, earning Rs 3.25 crore on Monday and Rs 3.8 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the film reported 11.44% occupancy in Kannada, 8.79% in Telugu, 13.37% in Hindi, and 17.39% in Tamil.
Kantara Chapter 1 has grossed approximately Rs 817 crore globally, with Rs 707 crore from India and Rs 110 crore overseas after 26 days. It is projected to finish with over Rs 875 crore worldwide, though this target seems challenging following the confirmation of its digital release for South Indian versions on October 31. The film’s worldwide collection was reported to be Rs 852 crore at that point.
All the box office records broken by Kantara Chapter 1 indicate that it has become the most-watched Indian film of 2025, selling approximately 3.20 crore tickets in 26 days, surpassing Chhaava’s 3.10+ crore admissions. The Hindi version of the film achieved over 1 crore footfalls, becoming the first South Indian title in 2025 to do so, while the combined sales of the Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil versions exceed 1.30 crore. Additionally, it registered the third-highest single-day collection of 2025 with Rs 52 crore, outperforming Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
Kantara Chapter 1 has become the second-highest-grossing Kannada film, earning Rs 1215 crore, surpassing its predecessor Kantara (2022), which grossed Rs 407.82 crore worldwide.
