Flipkart today announced major supply chain milestones from its 2025 festive season, reporting a 24% year-on-year growth in units and record logistics performance during The Big Billion Days (BBD). The company said more than 60% of festive orders came from Tier 2 and 3 regions, reinforcing Bharat’s rising role in India’s e-commerce economy.
Flipkart created over 4 lakh seasonal job opportunities across 28 states to support festive demand, with 15% roles filled by first-time workers and a 20% increase in hiring from women, PwDs, and LGBTQIA+ communities. On peak days, the supply chain moved over 5,000 shipments per minute and fulfilled 7.3 million shipments in a single day. Same-day and next-day deliveries grew 44% annually, with large appliances delivered in as little as 15 minutes and installations completed within 36 minutes.
Powered by AI-driven forecasting, automated inventory placement, IWIT transfers, AGVs, robotic arms, and cross-belt sorters, the company expanded speed, access and last-mile precision to 21,000+ pincodes. SVP Hemant Badri said the season highlighted “resilience, scale and precision” driven by people and technology. Flipkart also trained over 10,000 associates through its Supply Chain Operations Academy and 6,000+ college students in hybrid learning formats.
