Flipkart is set to roll out same-day delivery of products across multiple categories across 20 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Raipur, Siliguri, and Vijayawada. The initiative will start in February and will scale over the next few months to serve more customers across the country.
The products will include mobiles, fashion, beauty products, lifestyle, books, home appliances, and electronics. To enable same-day delivery, Flipkart has invested in multiple fulfillment centers and tech capabilities for better sortation and more throughput from its fulfillment centers.
Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President, Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience & Recommerce Business, Flipkart Group, stated that by 2024, millions of customers across the country will be delighted to receive lakhs of products delivered the same-day of placing their orders. Flipkart Group is committed to staying at the forefront of customer satisfaction and plans to further scale the initiative to include more cities and categories, including large appliances, to delight customers.
