Flipkart, in collaboration with the Assam Project on Forests & Biodiversity Conservation (APFBC), hosted an orientation workshop aimed at empowering self-help groups (SHGs) and cluster-level federations (CLFs). The event, held at Aranya Bhawan, focused on Flipkart’s ‘Samarth’ program, which offers entrepreneurs access to digital platforms and PAN-India market opportunities.
The workshop brought together artisans, bamboo and wooden product makers, and weavers, providing insights into product listing and online business strategies. Key discussions included training, capacity-building, and logistics support for participants.
Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Flipkart Group, emphasized the partnership’s goal of fostering economic opportunities for artisans and underserved communities, stating, “We aim to bridge gaps for underserved communities, empowering them to thrive in the digital economy.” Launched in 2019, the Samarth program promotes inclusivity for MSMEs and artisans, enabling them to develop sustainable livelihoods through e-commerce.
