Five arrested in Arunachal Pradesh

On June 5, five people connected to firing incident that took place in state-border with Assam were arrested by the police in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Siang district.

According to the sources, 2 persons died at the spot during the firing. On June 5, People of Dhemaji had organized a plantation drive at the inter-State border area on the occasion of World Environment Day. Some villagers had gone in advance to make the arrangements. They allegedly came under the firing, in which one person died on the spot.

And the other one got injured, immediately he was taken to Dhemaji Civil Hospital by locals. Soon he was declared dead in the hospital.

After arresting the accused, they are kept at the Likabali police station, as per reports.
