Courtyard By Marriott Shillong turned into a festive paradise as it hosted its inaugural Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 10th, ushering in the holiday season with flair. Transforming The Poolside into a whimsical setting under the theme “Night Under the Stars,” the event featured a dazzling Christmas tree, symbolizing hope and unity.Guests were welcomed by open arms and cheerful smiles, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Shri Conrad Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, and other esteemed dignitaries added a touch of grandeur to the celebration. The climax was the eagerly awaited tree lighting, where the entire crowd joined in a countdown, bathing the magnificent Christmas tree in a warm, golden glow.
The evening continued with a delightful high tea experience, offering a spread of sweet treats like ‘Plum pudding’ and savory delights such as ‘Gouda Croquette with berry compote.’ Children met Santa Claus, live music filled the air, and a special dance presentation added to the festive fervor.
