Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania Synchronize Electricity Systems with European Network

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have completed the long-planned synchronization of their electricity systems with the European continental network via Poland. This landmark move formally ends the Baltic states’ decades-long reliance on the Russian and Belarusian electricity grids. The project integrates the three nations fully into the EU internal energy market, enhancing the security of supply for the entire Union and supporting the integration of renewable energy under common EU rules.
