E-portal launched for patients at Siliguri District Hospital

Portal facility will be launched for all indoor patients in Siliguri District Hospital. Recently, a meeting of the Patient Welfare Association was organized at the DNB Seminar Hall. Mainly, several new departments, new integration and modernization issues were discussed in Siliguri District Hospital. It was also announced in the meeting that the portal facility will be launched for all indoor patients. All indoor patients will get their test reports and doctor’s prescriptions on the hospital portal. Gautam Deb, Chairman of the Patient Welfare Association, said, “For now, this system has been launched for all indoor patients. Later, this service will be provided for outdoor patients.”

Siliguri District Hospital is one of the busiest hospitals in the state. On an average, about 2000 to 2200 patients visit the outdoor every day. The internal departments and patients are crowded. The e-portal facility has been launched in this hospital. The hospital’s child care unit is also being revamped, said the Chairman of the Patient Welfare Association. It does not end here, in addition to this, a mother and child care hub will be built behind the hospital. The Public Works Department has started the design work in this regard. After that, work will be started with the approval of the state government. The mayor said, “The childcare unit is very hot in summer and very cold in winter. The Public Works Department has been instructed to make it an all-weather unit.”
