Alipurduar, August 29: A truck driver died in a tragic road accident in Chilapata forest of Jaldapara National Park in Alipurduar district. The deceased was identified as Mahant Burman, a resident of Mathura South Chakaukheti.
Local sources report that Barman was driving a container truck from Hasimara to Chilapata when the vehicle lost control and collided with a tree in the forest. The impact of the collision was fatal for Burman.
Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The accident is under investigation.
