The trend of sharing password of OTT platforms is going down due to the strict rules made by the companies. The first OTT platform to put a ban on password sharing was Netflix, and now Disney+ has come up with same ideology by joining the movement of forbidding its customers from sharing their credentials with others.
The platform will enforce this new regulation from Nov 1 in Canada, and it has already sent mail to users to inform them regarding the changes and prohibit account sharing.
The unique thing is that Disney+ has been quite hard on applying the new regulations, and individuals who break them, will be at risk of getting their accounts restricted or even terminated.
