Digital Tools Meet Tribal Wisdom in Manaus Conference

Brazil is preparing to host its first-ever Indigenous Technology Summit this August in Manaus, the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The conference will bring together tech innovators, tribal leaders, and environmental experts to discuss AI, satellite mapping, and sustainability tools for forest preservation.

Organised by the Brazilian Ministry of Innovation, the summit will feature speakers from Colombia, India, and the Philippines—countries with similarly rich Indigenous heritages.

Tribal communities in Northeast India and Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh are expressing interest in replicating such models to safeguard land and culture through digital empowerment.
