Dhurandhar Roars Globally as Ranveer Singh Claims a New Box Office Crown

Dhurandhar, a spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, was released in theaters on December 5. By its 14th day, the film has performed exceptionally well, grossing approximately ₹480 crore in India and surpassing ₹700 crore globally. Notably, it has now eclipsed the highest-grossing film of Rajinikanth, further solidifying its commercial success.

Producers of Dhurandhar, Jio Studios, reported that the film has achieved a net domestic collection of ₹479.50 crore within its first two weeks of release. The film garnered ₹218 crore in its initial week and then continued to exceed its first week’s collections. The weekly breakdown includes collections of ₹34.70 crore on Saturday, ₹53.70 crore on Sunday, ₹58.20 crore on Monday, ₹31.80 crore on Tuesday, ₹32.10 crore on Wednesday, and ₹25.70 crore on Thursday.

Dhurandhar has garnered a gross of ₹552.50 crore in India and an additional ₹158 crore from international markets, resulting in a total worldwide collection of ₹710.50 crore within two weeks of release. This surpasses the previous record set by Rajinikanth’s film 2.0, which grossed ₹691 crore globally, while his second highest-grossing film, Jailer, earned ₹604.5 crore. Dhurandhar is now aiming to exceed the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s PK, which stands at ₹792 crore.

Dhurandhar is a film written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, with production by Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios and Aditya and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios. The lead cast features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

The first installment of the two-part series centers on Ranveer’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, who eventually is identified as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as he undertakes an infiltration into a Baloch gang in Pakistan. The anticipated sequel is set to premiere on March 19, 2026.
