NDTV, India’s most trusted news network, has launched its 10th season of ‘Banega Swasth India’, India’s longest-running public health campaign. The campaign, launched nine years ago by NDTV in partnership with Dettol, has reached over 24 million children in India through various programs, innovations, activities, and tools aimed at making hygiene an essential part of everyone’s lives. The campaign’s focus this year is on One World Hygiene for Global Health and Well-being, with the power of 10– Dus Ka Dum.
The campaign aims to show empathy and solidarity with those who may not have access to essential hygiene resources, bridging the gap between the privileged and underserved. The 10th season also looks forward to Dus Kadam- the emerging challenges the campaign aims to address.
The initiative has grown stronger and become the hope of millions, with influential voices supporting the cause, including Vice Presidents, Chief Ministers, Oscar winners, Magsaysay awardees, and Nobel laureates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has publicly acknowledged the initiative’s impact on public awareness. The live event on October 2nd every year highlights how better hygiene and nutrition can improve India’s health.
